However, the study may lack reliability due to gender imbalance of the participants (327 females and 63 males) and the low number of participants (62%). A large number of participants is more representative of the target population (Sherriff, Burston Wallis, 2012) The study would have been more reliable, accurate, and valid if all the students were involved or a higher percentage of maybe 95% was involved. The average number of total trials for the test was 3.1; the mean score was 57.8 %. In the initial test, 73.6% of the students were able to achieve a satisfactory grade. After the skill test, the students were engaged in one on one numeracy remediation activities, and the results were appealing. After the remediation activities, only one student failed to get a satisfactory grade on the final attempt. Regarding data analysis, the methods and tools used were appropriate. The SPSS Software, for instance, was used for professional analysis of data.
